Kidd Creek copper mine
Report summary
Following the closure of the Kidd smelter and refinery in Q2 2010, the concentrates were being processed at Horne and CCR (Montreal East). The mine is assessing a plan to take production to 2020 by extending further down if trucking costs from the very base would allow continued production. The economic viability of this option is dependent on operating costs and metal prices and has not been included in the accompanying analysis.
