Kwinana, BHP Billiton - Nickel sulphate refinery

Operated by BHP Billiton, the Kwinana power and briquettes plant is located south of Perth in Western Australia. The plant is 100% owned by BHP Billiton. In 2021, the plant successfully produced its first nickel sulphate and is estimated to be capable of producing 100.0ktpy of nickel sulphate when at full capacity. Feedstock for the plant is from nickel powder.
