La Cienega zinc mine
Report summary
Cienega is a gold, silver, lead, zinc underground mine located in Durango, Mexico. It produces separate zinc and lead concentrates and a silver-gold precipitate, the current milling capacity is 4,000t/d (1,340kt/a). The predominant revenue stream has in the past been gold but in recent years the silver revenue has increased significantly with declining gold grades and increasing silver grades. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
