La India gold mine
Report summary
The La India property comprises 42 mining concessions including the La India deposit and Tarachi gold prospect, across 54,000ha, located between the towns of Tarachi and Matarachi, 60km east of Sahuaripa, southeast Sonora State, northern Mexico. Commercial production was achieved in February 2014 after nearly two years of pre-production development. Conventional open pit mining is used, with three stage crushing and ore treatment via heap leaching. Gold is recovered in an ADR (Adsorption, Desorption and Recovery) carbon plant to produce a gold-silver dore on site. In 2021, the mine produced 64koz of gold and 48koz of silver.
