Lakeshore (Tailings) (Closed) gold mine
Report summary
From 1997, production from the Lakeshore Tailings operation is included into Macassa elsewhere in this volume. Tailings from the long closed Lake Shore mine are dredged from Kirkland Lake by a suction dredge. They are pumped overland 2.5km to a 680t/d dedicated plant located at the Macassa mill (see separate entry). Eastmaque Mines have a similar dredging operation on the northern arm of the lake.
