Leinster nickel operation
Report summary
Leinster is a 'high-grade' nickel sulphide operation owned and operated by the BHP Group under the Nickel West banner. Ore is sourced from the Leinster, Cliffs and Venus underground mines, as well as from the Rocky's Reward open-pit mine. It is then processed through a concentrator and dryer at Leinster. Wood Mackenzie estimates current mine life to extend to (at least) 2033 based on the company's updated reserve statement from June 2020.
