Report summary

Lisheen is comprised by underground mining and a 6kt/d ore concentrator. The primary mining methods adopted at Lisheen were room and pillar and drift and fill with blast hole stoping used in thicker areas of the deposit. The concentrator used sequential flotation and operated 365 days a year at a capacity of around 5 000tpd. After 17 years of operation mining at Lisheen stopped in November 2015 and the planned closure of the mill occurred in December 2015.
