Livengood is expected to be developed as a large-scale open pit mine with ore processed in a 17Mt/a gravity separation and carbon in leach (CIL) plant. Average annual gold production is estimated at 294koz/a over a 23 year mine life. Open pit material movement of 55Mt/a (ore and waste) is planned during the first 16 years of operation, with life of mine strip ratio (waste:ore) estimated at 1.3:1.
