Mayskoye gold mine
Report summary
Mayskoye is predominantly a high grade underground operation utilising sub-level open stoping method. The refractory ore undergoes single-stage crushing, prior to three-stage grinding (in one SAG mill and two ball mills), with the slurry then reporting to the three-stage conventional flotation circuit at the 910kt/a Mayskoye concentrator to produce gold concentrate. Due to refractory nature of the ore, concentrate was transported to Amursk pressure oxidation plant (POX-1) as well as third party off-takers for further processing and cyanidation.
