Mirai bauxite mine
Report summary
Declining reserves at the company's Poços de Caldas and Itamarati mines provided the impetus to develop the Miraí mine. The mine is a captive supplier to the Alumínio refinery. With CBA balanced in alumina and with alumina production dedicated to meeting the needs of the smelter, mine output will be dictated by refinery demand, which is ultimately defined by primary production. CBA is part of the Votorantim Metals Group.
