Report summary
Morro Agudo is comprised of the Morro Agudo underground mine and the new (since May 2017) Ambrosia Sul mine and a 3.1kt/d ore plant (2017 capacity). The Morro Agudo mine-mill is located 45km south of the Paracatu municipality and the Ambrosia trend deposits 15-20 km northwest of Paracatu. Zinc concentrate was treated at the Tres Marias smelter located 220km away. The mine closed in 2024, transitioning to a limestone production complex.
