Report summary
The Pani gold mine in Gorontalo Province, Indonesia, is a large gold operation owned by PT Merdeka Gold Resources. Development is underway in two phases: an open-pit heap leach operation that began production in February 2026, and a 12 Mtpa Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) plant targeted for completion in early 2028. Throughput is being expanded across both circuits, with gold production expected to reach around 400 koz in 2028 and potentially peak at approximately 500 koz per year once full capacity is achieved.
