Perama will be an open pit operation ustilising conventional mining methods. Processing will comprise a three stage crushing circuit and ball mill operating in a closed circuit with hydrocyclones together with a conventional 1.25Mt/a CIL mill. The project was placed on care and maintenance in January 2016.
The accompanying analysis assumes conventional open pit mining, carried out by the mine owners. The final pit size is expected to be 750m long and 150-400m wide with a strip ratio of 0.4:1 over a mine life of 9 years.
