Porco is the oldest Pb-Zn-Ag mine in the Latin American region. The Spaniards had started the operation by 1545. Currently Porco produces from its underground mine Zn/Ag and Pb/Ag concentrates. Production capacity has progressively increased from 150t/d to 1.5kt/d. In 2018 this nominal capacity remained the same but actual capacity was 1.2kt/d ore.
