Report summary
The refinery is located at Porto Marghera, near Venice and has good road, rail and sea links. Until the end of 1991 the refinery treated anodes produced by melting scrap in a Maerz furnace, which is considered in this analysis to be part of the refinery. However, in 1991 the company installed a Kaldo furnace to produce 25kt/a blister from dusts and residues containing on average 40% copper.
