Portovesme zinc smelter

The Portovesme electrolytic zinc smelter has a nameplate capacity of 140kt slab zinc per annum and is part of an integrated complex which includes a Kivcet lead smelter and a Waelz kiln fuming plant. The local San Gavino (70km from Portovesme) lead refinery now forms part of the combined enterprise. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs.
