Prairie Creek zinc mine project
Report summary
Prairie Creek project will be an underground operation with longhole open stoping with paste backfill being the main mining method. Mechanised drift-and-fill will be used for the stratabound sections. Three concentrates will be produced: lead sulphide, zinc sulphide and lead oxide. The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board issued a positive recommendation for approval of the Environmental Assessment Report for the construction of the All Season Road to the project site in October 2018.
