Report summary
The PT Amman smelter in Indonesia is 1.5 km from the Benete Port. It employs the advanced Double-Flash Smelting process, which combines flash smelting and flash converting processes. This method is known for its efficiency and high sulphur capture rates. The smelter is required to meet Indonesian environmental regulations, which limit SO2 stack emissions to 280 ppm. The smelter’s primary product is copper cathode with a 99.99% purity, with sulphuric acid, gold, silver and selenium as byproducts. The sulphur capture levels are in the order of 98.5%.
