Qujing zinc smelter
The Qujing zinc smelter was a greenfield 100kt/a capacity smelter that formed part of a large new investment by Yunnan Chihong that included the expansion of the Huize mine. The total cost of the new zinc smelter was US$96M and commissioning took place in July 2005, with the official opening in December.
