Future production in the RT Division was expected to come from 3 sources: Conventional leaching and/or chloride leaching, copper from ore sent to the Chuqui concentrator and copper from the new concentrator. The 2023 PND contains 528Mt of oxide ore with 0.36%CuT and 0.11%Cu soluble for conventional leaching; 1876Mt of mixture reserves with 0.49%Cu. Part of this ore will go to the chloride leaching where $1.7Bn of capex was expected to be spent and the other part to the 100-120kt/d ore new concentrator that will have a capex of $2.5 billion excluding the desalinated plant that will be outsourced. The chloride leaching project was expected to start producing copper in 2025 and the new mill in the H2 of 2030. The leachable ore from RT is analysed in a separate profile. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
