Report summaryRosh Pinah mine is located 600km South of Windhoek. It is a underground operation with ore treated in an on-site plant with an annual throughput capacity of 700kt/a. In 2011, the Exxarro board approved the closure of the Springs Smelter where the zinc concentrate from Rosh was treated. In 2012, Glencore finalised its acquisition of an 80.1% stake in Rosh Pinah for a cash consideration of $149M. Based on reserves and resources a mine life of up to at least 2025 is assumed.
