Asset Report
Round Mountain gold mine
Report summary
Round Mountain is an open pit operation that utilises conventional mining methods. Ore is processed by gravity concentration or heap leaching (reusable and dedicated pads) depending on mineralogy and grade. The accompanying analysis models the planned pushback of the existing open-pit to extend mine life by 5 years (Phase W expansion), with construction of a new heap leach pad and carbon in column (CIC) circuit at the processing plant. Phase W will require two years of waste stripping to access a 77.6Mt portion of of ore. Waste stripping is expected to commence in 2018, while construction of leach pads and associated infrastructure is expected to be completed by H2 2019.
