Salares Norte gold mine project
Report summary
The Salares Norte gold project is located in the Atacama region of northern Chile approximately 190 km east of Diego de Almargro by road. It is planned to be an open pit operation with Merril Crowe and CIP processing. The two primary deposits within the project are the Brecha Principal and Agua Amarga. The project will produce both gold and silver as gold equivalents. Construction commenced in April 2020 but was behind schedule due to Covid-19 and weather-related impacts. First production is expected in Q4 2023.
