Asset Report
San Gregorio zinc mine project
Report summary
San Gregorio is a potential stand-alone Pb-Zn project in the vicinity of El Brocal, Colquijirca. The nature of the orebody lends itself to open pit mining. The 2021 analysis assumed a 10kt/d conventional Pb-Zn concentrator. By the end of 2020 the project remained inactive because the Vicco community leaders did not agree on the terms and conditions for the development of the San Gregorio project. However, El Brocal engaged successfully in social development programmes with the community. Because of this and the early stage of the project, the start year of 2027 and scale of the project in the accompanying analysis is just indicative of the project potential.
