Report summary
The refinery is located at San Manuel, Arizona and has good road and rail links. The plant was commissioned in 1971 with a capacity of 182kt/a cathode. In 1976 the capacity was increased to 195kt/a by increasing the current density from 237 to 258 A/m2. A further increase in current density to 290 A/m2 in 1985 increased capacity to 227kt/a.
