San Nicolas zinc mine project

San Nicolas is planned to be operated through an open pit feeding a conventional flotation plant to produce zinc and copper concentrates. The decision to proceed is to be largely based on economics relating to the zinc price and Teck Resources’ requirement for zinc or zinc concentrate. Teck and Agnico Eagle completed a 50-50 joint venture for the project in April 2023 and expect a new feasibility study by H1 2025. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs.
