Sardana zinc mine

Report summary

Sardana is located in the Ust-Maysky district of the Sakha Republic, in far eastern Russia. While Siberian Non-Ferrous metals made a successful bid for mining rights in 2007, no further developments have been reported to date. A mine life in excess of 15 years is expected from the anticipated rate of production and published resource, but this could be extended if further resources are defined. Metal in concentrate production is planned to be around 150kt/a zinc and 45kt/a lead with silver also recovered.
