Report summary
The Sichuan Other mines are the combined production from numerous small mines in the province which we do not include as individual assets in our cost service. Zinc-lead ore deposits in Sichuan is concentrated in two regions: on the south border shared with Yunnan and on the western border shared with Tibet. Majority of the operating mines in Sichuan are situated on the south with average altitude of 1500 metres, the mines are able to operate for almost the full year without extreme weather disruptions. There are a few large zinc-lead open pit mines in the surrounding region. However, underground mining is still the preferred method especially with small scale operations.
