Sierra Mojada Leach zinc mine
Report summary
Conventional open pit mining methods are planned based on the resource model. Mining operations are expected to consist of drilling and blasting, with truck and shovel. A mill feed of 8,500 t/d is planned over 18 years. According to the October 2018 Technical Report, the Sierra Mojada project will require two distinct flow sheets and process facilities for the silver ore and the zinc ores. The silver ores is expected to utilize cyanide leach technology to produce a silver dore and the zinc ores Heavy Media Separation and flotation to produce zinc concentrates.
