The mine and process plant are located at 1,700m a.s.l. alongside the main highway, rail line and water pipeline linking Calama and Antofagasta. Electrical power supply is located 67km from the mine site. The accompanying analysis assumes that the project was funded internally by BHP Billiton and interest was not incurred.
