Letpadaung SxEw copper mine
Report summary
The Letpadaung copper mine is located 7km from the S&K mine, which is covered in a separate asset profile under Monywa copper mine. The area comprised of four mineralized deposits - Sabetaung, Sabetaung South, Kyisintaung and Letpadaung. Copper mining has been carried out at Sabetaung for centuries. Letpadaung operation started production in 2016, following construction of a 100kt/a SxEw project. Copper cathode production of 120kt was achieved in 2019.
