Report summary
The Sugar Zone mine is located in Ontario, approximately 715km northwest of Toronto. The property is located 68km east of Barrick's Hemlo operation. Commercial mine production was achieved in January 2019, with mining consisting of underground longitudinal longhole retreat stoping. The ore is processed using conventional crushing, grinding, gravity separation and flotation circuits to produce gold dore and a gold concentrate. The mine was taken over by Silver Lake Resources through its acquisition of Harte Gold Corp. In February 2024, Silver Lake Resources and Red 5 announced plans to merge. The merger was completed in June.
