Report summary
Tilden is a surface mine located in Michigan's Marquette Iron Range, approximately 8 kilometres southwest of the city of Ishpeming. Cliffs owns 100% of the operation after acquiring US Steel's minority ownership stake in September 2017. Tilden is the US' lowest-cost mine thanks to its higher raw ore Fe grade, which leads to comparatively lower processing costs.
