Toromocho copper mine
Report summary
This is a conventional open pit mine and concentrator that under normal operating conditions is to produce copper concentrates and moly trioxide in the hydromet plant. On 16th January 2014 Toromocho commissioned a mine-mill of 117.2kt/d ore. However, in 2016 the concentrator capacity was revised down to 100kt/d. In March 2018 Toromocho received the environmental approval for the incremental expansion of 52.8kr/d ore from the nominal capacity of 117.2kt/d ore to 170kt/d ore.
