Toyo copper refinery
Report summary
The refinery is located near Saijo City, Ehiime Prefecture, and has good road and rail links and excellent sea links via the company's own berth for 30kt vessels. The plant was commissioned in 1973 with a capacity of 55kt/a cathode using starting sheets provided by the Niihama refinery. In 1983 an additional 64 cells were added to increase production to 72kt/a.
