Umicore Jiangmen Cobalt Refinery

Operated by Jiangmen Chancsun Umicore Industry Co., Ltd, the Umicore Jiangmen cobalt refining plant is located in Jiangmen city in Guangdong province, China. The plant is a joint venture project between Jiangmen Changxin Technology and Umicore SA. The plant produces cobalt sulphate from crude cobalt hydroxide. The plant has a capacity of 5.3 ktpa of cobalt sulphate (on a contained cobalt basis) as of 2021.
