Vedanta Limited is a diversified natural resources company with interests in zinc, lead, silver, Iron ore, Steel, Copper, Aluminium, Power, Oil and Gas. The company restructured in late August 2013. Vedanta Aluminium, Madras Aluminium, Sterlite Industries and Sesa Goa were merged into 58.3% owned Sesa Sterlite, while the new entity retained a 51% stake in Bharat Aluminium (Balco). Sesa Sterlite has operations in aluminium, copper, iron ore and power generation, among other natural resources.
