What is the real nickel price?
Report summary
With over 65% of global nickel production selling at a price below the LME price – what is the true nickel price? Arguably, the LME should no longer be the reference price if it only relevant to little more than a third of global finished nickel products. It is the bargaining power of stainless steel mills in China that is essentially determining at what price the majority of nickel is sold globally.
