White Range SxEw copper mine project

Report summary

A bankable feasibility study for the White Range project was completed in January 2005 considering a seven-year project to produce 15 kt/a of cathode copper from open pit mined ore from five deposits (Greenmount, Kuridala, Stuart, Mount McCabe and Vulcan). In 2014 and 2015, given the difficult market conditions for exploration companies, QMC continued the dialog with a few parties for potential cooperation in joint development of the project. Because of this reason and the early stage of the project, Wood Mackenzie conservatively assumes financing arrangements by 2020 for first production in 2022.
