Xuanhua steel plant
Report summary
Hebei Iron and Steel Group received approval in March 2017 to relocate Xuanhua to Tangshan Leting. After the relocation, Xuanhua will have 7.3 Mtpa iron making capacity and 7.5 Mtpa steelmaking capacity, targeting to produce 4.1 Mtpa flat and 3 Mtpa long steel products. Xuanhua's relocation is part of Hebei Iron and Steel's capacity restructuring project. In September 2021, all blast furnaces of Xuanhua Iron and Steel have been suspended entirely.
