Report summary
Key legislation was enacted in 2007 and 2008, paving the way for exploration offshore Barbados. The outcome of the first offshore licence round in 2008 was disappointing, with just one international company, BHP, awarded acreage. Three play systems are thought to exist in the basin. Our analysis focuses on one of these - the Tertiary sands in the Barbados Trough area. We do not forecast any future exploration. The report includes prospect economics but no play economics.
