Asset Report
Turkmenistan South Caspian exploration basin
Report summary
The South Caspian Basin extends across parts of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Iran. The basin offers some value creation potential to explorers. However this is constrained by limited volumes and harsh fiscal terms. Significant licensing activity is unlikely in the near term. IOC-led offshore exploration will remain minimal in the near term. We do not expect any offshore exploration drilling in the medium term, with future wells likely dependent on new licenses.
