Did extreme winter weather move the needle?: North America Power and Renewables short term outlook January 2019
Report summary
While this year's polar vortex ripped through much of the North American power grid, and the Midwest in particular, aggregate YTD power demand loads are still less than same time last year in many regional power markets. Despite the extreme cold weather the last week of January, average monthly power prices failed to show much movement for the month overall, albeit with some strong volatility in the last week of the month.
