About the authors

Tom Heggarty is a Principal Analyst in Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Transition Practice, where he has led the global solar PV market research team since 2017. In addition to covering solar, Tom has also written about and been quoted extensively on the broader Energy Transition, with a particular focus on the corporate landscape of renewable energy. Tom has worked for Wood Mackenzie since 2011, initially as an covering European power markets; later he served as a Research Manager for Wood Mackenzie’s Energy Markets research product.  Tom graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class degree in Mathematics and German.

Rishab Shrestha is a Solar Analyst at Wood Mackenzie focusing on downstream PV markets. Rishab has experience researching both downstream and upstream sectors of the industry. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Rishab worked as a Solar Market Analyst at MAKE & GTM Research. He has experience working with cleantech start-ups and holds a master’s degree from the Sustainable Energy Future program at Imperial College London.
