Will the coronavirus put the brakes on the renewable energy transition in Asia Pacific?
Report summary
Asia Pacific is a global engine of power demand and renewables growth. Will the coronavirus cause it to misfire? In the past five years, the APAC region has contributed to 76% of global power demand growth, 48% of new wind power installations, and 65% of new solar power installations. This insight provides an assessment of the impact of the coronavirus, oil price shock and economic recession on solar and wind installations in APAC markets. Two scenarios (base case and major recession) are considered.
