Oil products price forecast mid-month update July 2021

The excel files associated with this report provide a mid-month update to our short-term products prices and margins forecasts. Prices and margins for July 2021 have been updated to reflect the oil price movements so far this month. These changes reflect recent data releases and major market developments since our last update on 1 July. For this mid-month update we have retained our July monthly Brent price outlook to align with our Macro Oils Service short-term July Outlook. The OPEC group is reported to be nearing a compromise with the UAE, any changes will not be confirmed until the next meeting of the OPEC+ group which will not take place until August. Our monthly ex-RVO Global Composite margin recovered by US$0.51/bbl to US$1.48/bbl in the first half of July supported by stronger light end cracks driven by recovering Atlantic basin gasoline demand and firm Asian naphtha demand. The next full update to our prices and margins forecast will published on 2 August 2021.
