Report summary
Tight oil from the Bakken accounts for more than 10% of US daily oil production. The play was one of the country's first commercial tight oil plays and quickly became a highly sought-after asset. As the play matures, Major E&Ps are decreasing investment while smaller pure-play operators grow and consolidate in the basin.
