Croatia tight gas unconventional concept play
Report summary
The Croatian part of the Pannonian basin has been extensively explored and is now considered a mature province. Since 2013, Croatia's NOC Industrija nafte (INA) has investigated the unconventional potential of the region. The play is based on a basin-centred gas concept where tight gas is held in shallow beds extending over a wide area. This is comparable to the Antrim shale gas play in the Michigan basin in the US.
