Asset Report
Permian Yeso Group tight oil unconventional play
Report summary
The Permian Yeso group, in the New Mexico Delaware basin, offers drilling opportunities in conventional and unconventional tight oil carbonate reservoirs that are age equivalent to the Delaware Bone Spring. Despite extensive vertical drilling, production volumes remained low as operators battled complex geology. Now, interest in the Delaware basin draws renewed attention to the Northwest Shelf Yeso group as potential upside to primary targets. As horizontal best practices begin to translate to this shallow historic play, the Yeso emerges as potential upside for nearby plays.
