Asset Report
Perth Basin tight gas unconventional play
Report summary
The Perth basin is located near major domestic demand centres in Perth and the South West. The Perth basin has conventional, tight and shale gas plays. However, there has been conventional success in the Perth basin. Three LNG projects with a domestic gas obligation have also begun domestic production. As a result, the Western Australian domestic gas market is well supplied. Therefore, low levels of tight gas activity are expected in the Perth basin.
